Dear Kati!

You were the first speaking to me about wise eating habits and I witnessed the way you contemplated them. I saw you cooking ricepasta with reckless abandon and it was hard to admit to you that I have feasted on them a little bit more than intended while you were at a boat trip. I was sorry that I had eaten your pasta. It was probably the most delicious thing I have eaten in many years.

Kati! Remember the songs we sang? And you encouraged me to become a singer. My favourite was Who am I living for by Katy Perry. You wanted to hear Pumped up Kids by Foster The People on the beach, because that was your favourite song.

Wow, you liked the boys... You told me about them, the young boy, you could never forget, because the feelings of the two of you were so strong. You told me, you were thinking about getting in touch with him, and I could feel the warmth of your voice and your heart when you talked. You told me, your father was a very strong man, noone came close to his nobility and his high standards and possibly also his high opinion and expectations of you. How could you possibly find a man who could be enough for you?

You danced on the beach and didn't like to enter the waters. I was sad, that you didn't. You wanted to dance and your clothes were colorful and pretty. You always wore a smile on your face that was both friendly and delighted, yet hopeful and optimistic. Once I saw you eating an octopus. You had to have some pleasure. Your diet was strict, but someone, one of the teachers you admired, told you to eat a lot of Himalayan salt. They told you that would be so healthy that you couldn't eat enough of it.

Today I disagree on this, but then you were so determined, that I did not dare to discuss with you. I then, ate steamed veggies mostly. I was happily writing my diploma thesis all day on the balcony, while you were hanging out with the boys on the motorbikes and the beach with the fun color.

You loved to talk and to chill. You enjoyed the day alone on the beach when it wasn't crowded at all... We sipped drinks and listened to Pumped up Kids... In the evening I was tired, but you wanted me to join you dancing with the boys. Everyone was going but me. The next day you told me about the Reggae and fun girls and guys you met. You had have a lot of fun.

One month later I still thought a lot of you. I was a bit sad we were in different places and could not meet. I listened to Paul Kalkbrenner's Aaron a lot I liked that sphere... I felt nice but in November I got sick and in December you went away.

I feel blessed ever since to have met you and you are always in my heart. May you reach your destination wherever you travel.

Your friend,

Amy
